Dating Etiquette Or Dating Strategy, What Do You Want?

Posted in : Dating Etiquette

(added few months ago!)

Strategy is the name of the game in dating these days. There is no more dating etiquette. Etiquette means an acceptable practice or tradition used by members of a society showing respect for each other. Hardly what we see in dating these days. Like a football team using plays and tactics to score what we have today is more dating strategy than dating etiquette.

Dating etiquette meant to an earlier generation respect and politeness to our date. Dressing properly. Men paying for the date. Women wearing a dress. Men wearing a coat and tie. Men having the date all planned out but politely asking the woman what she would like to do. The woman politely deferring to the man's plans. But we are too cool to advanced too sophisticated for such old time beliefs and practices.

Dating etiquette? Men and women do not have time for etiquette. Women want to know how much money he makes. Men want to know how to get her into his bedroom and then out as soon as possible. Men and women want strategy today. Who needs etiquette?

We want what we want and we want to read how to get it. At least that is the message you will get from all the information about dating these days online, in magazines, and in the media.

What the media, and magazines, and websites miss though is that people, men and women, want real, true, lasting relationship. And that can only be found through marriage. But once you get to that point there is very little written about good marriage strategy. Many articles about how women can set traps but few on how to make a cage. Many articles about seducing a woman but few on how to love a woman.

With divorce rates increasing every year we need more information on having a good marriage. We certainly have our fill on how to score with your date. And a good marriage begins with dating etiquette.
