Most Malaysians seem to be unaware of elevator etiquette. I have seen parents who do not scold their children even when these youngsters press (almost) every button thus delaying everyone in the lift. Some people do not make way for others to exit while others do not make way when people want to enter the lift.

Come on, folks, these are the very basic things to remember. I hope Filem Negara will show some short clips of proper behavior when on lifts and escalators. Which reminds me, I nearly had a nasty fall once when the escalator at a shopping complex suddenly stopped. So people, hold on to the side handrail when on the escalator; it might help to prevent a nasty accident.
