Mind your manners in class

In every class there is a trend of people who persistently break the rules of classroom etiquette. You know the type. It would be fine if during the whole semester, the annoying act happened once or twice - even three times could be dealt with. But when it's the same people arrogantly ignoring the learning environment, it becomes a problem. Here are some that tend to get on my nerves, and I'm sure everyone else's, as well.
Counting the number of times someone says "like" or "um" in a presentation. The biggest fear among students is public speaking. An awkward pause, or stumbling throughout the presentation should be expected. But why is it that some people find it entertaining to disrespect their peers?
I'm not stupid. I can see someone holding up their fingers when I nervously insert "um" or "like." When I see that, it makes me want to give up (or call the jerk out). If you tend to do this, please, keep it to yourself. I'd like to see you presenting.
When raising a hand, a student says, "I have a question."
Really? I didn't know raising your hand meant something else. Instead, this phrase implies the student is going to go on a five-minute rant. Or, it's an implication the question is completely off topic. Next time, just begin with your question. Leaving belongings everywhere, and anywhere around the seat.
In the winter, it's understandable to be dressed for the cold. But when you strip and put your coat on another seat and your bags everywhere underneath your chair, it gets to be a bit much. Keep your things in an orderly fashion. Don't spread out like you're in your dorm room.
Eating a whole meal during class, and being loud about it. If you're starving during a class, it's OK to bring a snack. But a whole meal stinks up the room. And, no one in class wants to hear your chewing and swallowing over the teacher's lecture.
When a student asks a question on Angel, and no one answers. Don't expect other students to answer. If you're already on Angel, send a quick reply and help a student out. They could have missed class for a valid reason, and you would want someone to do the same for you.
