They don't make 'em like Landon Cooper of Elk Grove, CA, anymore. The 17-year-old high-schooler has just finished his book, "Young Manners from a Young Man.Landon started writing the book when he was 8. It's an easy read for kids and teens to learn about etiquette, or in some cases, lack thereof.
"You know, disrespecting elders or not treating someone with the same respect that you would want them to treat you with," Landon explained about the premise of his book. Landon writes about how to smile at folks when you pass them by and how proper hygiene is important, including washing your hands.
Landon says a gentlemen should also dress nicely, which he fears is on the decline. He says every young man by the age of 15 should own a suit. He says he wanted his first tuxedo at the age of 4 when the family went on a cruise. Now a high-school junior, Landon takes advantage of practicing good manners, even if most people his age don't.
